Hi, I’m Melissa Marquais, and I’m honored to serve as the CEO and Founder of The Kindness Objective. Originally from New York, I’ve called Tennessee home since 2004.

​

My professional journey has been diverse, spanning sales, software sales, music publishing, and over 300 successful copyright fraud and infringement negotiations.

 

I’m also a certified Youth Mental Health First Aider, which has equipped me with tools to support young people facing challenges.

​

My passion for kindness and advocacy is deeply personal. I’ve experienced the pain of severe bullying as a child and later endured similar abuse in the workplace. Those experiences left a mark, but they also lit a fire in me to create something meaningful. That fire grew even stronger when a friend lost her 15-year-old daughter to suicide after relentless bullying. I knew I had to dedicate my life to this cause, and that’s how The Kindness Objective was born.

Through this organization, I’ve dedicated myself to combating hate with meaningful gestures of kindness and providing support to victims of bullying. Turning pain into purpose has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

​

In addition, I’ve had a vibrant background as a professional singer and performer, recording and performing the musical compositions of my late grandfather, Ernest G. Schweikert. This incredible experience, which was a complete labor of love, taught me resilience and perseverance, qualities that I bring into every aspect of my life and work every day.

 

But my most cherished role is being a mom to my ten-year-old son. He inspires me every single day to create a world where kindness prevails and compassion leads the way.
